With the nation under the governance of its first minority President, the country has proven that electoral politics have changed forever. To paraphrase an old automobile ad campaign, 'it ain’t your father's Buick.' And it certainly isn't your father’s or mother's politics, either. But for Latinos, that may be problematic. An African-American President doesn’t automatically translate, for Latinos, into a Latino national leader anytime soon, or even continued success electing Latino officials.
